Kevin has been performing Irish music for over forty years and has had the good fortune of playing with some of the best musicians in America and Ireland. He has spent many hours learning tunes and songs with the likes of the late Frank Harte and Mike McDonagh. Also, Joe Burke, Seamus Connolly, Brendan Tonra just to name a few. His musical goal has always been to pass on a traditional style through his singing and playing. Jim Prendergast has many years experience as a studio musician in Nashville. More recently he has established himself amongst traditional Irish musicians in New England through his tasteful guitar work and his recording studio “Mill Pond Music Studio” in Portsmouth New Hampshire.
Kevin and Jim met last summer in the Catskills and in true ” Blue Irish Night ” spirit come together for a night of tunes and few songs as well. Fiddle, banjo, mandola and guitar. With the possibility of a surprise or two, including a couple of sets of music with the great Seamus Connolly it should be great fun. There may also be a birthday in the house.
