Leo DiSanto, a singer-songwriter and modern troubadour from rural Pennsylvania, has spent the past few years touring the Eastern US- from New England to Appalachia- as founding frontman of the incendiary, eclectic string band Vinegar Creek Constituency, winners of the first annual Delfest Bluegrass Band Competition in 2008 (www.vinegarcreek.com). In early summer 2011, Leo released his first solo album- The Moon, A Silver Dime, which resounds with a diversity of influences from Sun Records-era Elvis to Leonard Cohen to Bob Dylan, from country junkyard rock to acoustic folk to  warped, “Felliniesque” (Fly Magazine) circus music. With the release of his new music, Leo has begun traveling the country as a one-man band in addition to touring and recording with VCC: In winter 2012 DiSanto embarked on a 20-date DIY national solo tour, performing throughout the Appalachian South, Gulf Coast, and Texas. Described by a songwriter friend as “Lord Byron meets Merle Haggard,” Leo’s galvanizing solo performances have inspired comparisons to legendary troubadours such as Townes Van Zandt, Hank Williams, Jimmie Rodgers, and Willie Nelson.

“Early rock and roll, jump blues, ragtime, swing, pre-war pop music, novelty music and even Dixieland infuse DiSanto’s tunes… In addition to DiSanto’s musical pre-dilections, the album displays a remarkably well-developed lyrical approach that, in many places, approaches cinematic… The album is filled with such compelling lines, many of them so arresting you’ll find yourself reaching for the rewind button.” – Fly Magazine

“DiSanto’s songs hearken back to a simpler time while having deeply thoughtful lyrics and a perfectly rendered narrative sensibility.” – Williamsport Sun Gazette

Leo has shared stages with many notable artists, including: Del McCoury, Sara Evans, Langhorne Slim, David Bromberg, Chris Thile, Sam Bush, David Mayfield, The Hackensaw Boys, Larry Keel, Railroad Earth, The North Mississippi Allstars, and Hoots and Hellmouth. http://www.leodisanto.com/
