Boston-based traditional folk singer, guitarist & bouzouki player Lindsay Straw is celebrating the release of her second solo album "The Fairest Flower of Womankind" at Irish Night at Blue in Portland on Wednesday, August 23(rescheduled from the original date of 4/23)! Joining her will be Portland-based guitarist & bouzouki player Owen Marshall.
Lindsay's music is heavily influenced by British folk legends June Tabor, Frankie Armstrong, John Renbourn, and the Scottish Traveller singing tradition. Her latest release is a collection of traditional songs featuring triumphant heroines and clever ladies getting their due.
