Duncan Hardy Group

Saturday - December, 28 @ 6:00pm

Saxophonist Duncan Hardy brings together influences from contemporary jazz, Arabic and ottoman classical music and west African traditions to present a fresh, multicultural experience. After graduating from the jazz performance conservatory at SUNY Purchase College, where he studied under Steve Wilson, Eric Alexander, Ralph Lalama, and Dick Oatts, Duncan returned to Maine and has spent the majority of his career teaching in various institutions, travelling to expand his musical horizons and playing regularly in and around New England and beyond. His most recent musical experiences include performing with drummer Matt Wilson and OURBIGBAND, completing a project that fuses hip-hop and Islamic Sufi music for Maine based artist Assasi Bilad El-Sham and performing with bebop saxophonist Greg Abate, also with OURBIGBAND.

We are a DONATION BASED venue. Please show your support to the musicians by donating to the basket by the stage. All seats are first come, first served (feel free to share a table). We do not take reservations.
