Nora Tirrell is a folk/country singer/songwriter from Marblehead, MA, currently living in Cambridge. Her sound is Sara Bareilles/Norah Jones meets Jason Mraz, and some artists she looks up o are Sara Bareilles, Carole King, and Liz Longley. Her catchy melodies and storytelling lyrics are her “hook” to her songs and will leave people wanting to hear more of her stories.
Nora’s lyrics make her songs. Her songs are her stories and they are her poetry. Throughout her life, she’s written songs when she’s been inspired to, whether by people in her life, difficulties she goes through, or just events that spark inspiration in her.
Now, as a more experienced songwriter, she takes more joy in carefully crafting her songs and deeply analyzing what each lyric means and why it’s essential to the meaning of the song. The songs don’t just “fall out” of her imagination as much anymore, they’re more of a craft that she takes the time to mold into a full song from either an idea, a single word, or a phrase.
Just like all of our shows, musicians play for your generous donations! **support the music!**
