Happy Hour with Sondra Levine
Wednesday - September, 05 @ 5:00pm
Today Sondra delivers a bare bones, acoustic version of her dancey, rockin' record, Walking On Water which was produced at Dirt Floor Studios in full six piece format. Her songs weave a fluid and colorful tapestry threaded by the trials of life and love while maintaining a wry sense of humor and overall well-being. With lyrics profound in their simplicity and melodies steeped in harmonies and tinted by the influences and range of California's Laurel Canyon, early Motown, sixties and seventies folk, blues and pop, this project emerges as her unique brand while maintaining the classic integrity of the artists whose impact rained deep into her own creative well. Sondra has been compared to Joan Baez, Bonnie Raitt and Karen Carpenter with the lyrical sensibilities of Jackson Browne. While carrying several years of music festivals, songwriter rounds, the Wolf Den - Mohegan Sun as well as various regional cafes, inns, galleries and the Connecticut winery circuit under her guitar strap along with a newly released, ten track record and several radio and TV appearances, Sondra continues to push the boundaries of writing while taking her solo performance live on the road.
