He’s been a catalyst for severalprojects in the Northeast and freelances with musicians including Darol Angerand Tony Trischka. As befits a musician in the 21st century, on a day at homeyou can find him teaching mandolin and music theory lessons, or recording oncolleagues' projects. His debut full-length album, “Flux” is made up oforiginal tunes drawing from the deep well of American roots music.

Tim O’Brien:
“He has learned from and now plays with the best in the genre. On Branches youcan hear a new musical voice emerging. I’m gonna keep listening for FinnMagill.”

Airto Moreira:
“It's nice to see fresh, young musicians carrying on the traditions ofBrazilian music. Finn Magill displays a love and authenticity that can fool youinto thinking he is from Brazil. His style is playful and light, yet soulfuland passionate. Congratulations!”

Mike Marshall:
"Ethan is one of those greatly informed young musicians of today who knowsthe roots of the music he is creating, but is not afraid to search and carveout his own voice within this new tradition.”

"Vibrant, thoughtful, and beautifully interactive"
