Jenny Lou Drew
Sunday - May, 24 @ 5:00pm
Maine singer-songwriter Jenny Lou Drew released her sophomore album Rockbiter on August 10th 2019 @ Portland House of Music in Portland Maine to a mesmerized audience. Jenny Lou Drew is now on regular rotation @ Portland radio station WCLZ and beyond. Portland Press Herald Music Writer Aimsel Ponti Announced, “I’m going to make a bold statement and declare (Rockbiter) the local album of the year.” Portland State Theater talent buyer and promoter Lauren Wayne responded to the album with, “I Haven’t heard someone come out of Maine with this kind of voice since Ray LaMontagne.” Drew has graced stages spanning Maine from Eureka Hall to Stone Mountain Arts Center. Drew's dynamic range, once praised by the likes of Ben Harper and Jack Johnson, has been described as “spellbinding”, drawing likenesses to Norah Jones, Bonnie Raitt, Fiona Apple, and Janis Joplin. Drawing inspiration from a day job in hospice and an education in Psychology, her masterful songwriting and intimate performances can bring audiences to tears and laughter in the same set.
