Juniper Ginger & Friends Folk Takeover
Sunday - December, 16 @ 6:00pm
"Juniper Ginger is dreaming of a Blue Christmas. Portland singer/songwriter Alex Millan (Juniper Ginger) has curated an evening of her local favorites: The Bumbling Woohas, Mousa, and a rare trio of SnugHouse solo sets. Hannah Bevens will be the featured visual artist throughout the show. There will be singing, there will be songing, and there will be folkin’ art! (And only two puns in this entire blurb!)"
***THE WEARING OF "UGLY" CHRISTMAS SWEATERS IS STRONGLY ENCOURAGED FOR THIS EVENT***
Juniper Ginger is the solo project of Portland, Maine songwriter Alex Millan. Through Juniper Ginger, Alex tells (mostly) honest stories about the real & imagined experiences in her life. Her songs explore themes of intimacy, (dis)connection, navigating grief, and finding home. When heard live, sparse accompaniment invites listeners to get lost in the poetry. Juniper Ginger’s debut studio album I Saw The Wreckage was released independently in November 2016, followed by Death & Danger in May 2017 and Made of Gold in November 2017. A new recording project is anticipated for late 2018/early 2019.
