Matt Estabrook Quartet

Saturday - August, 26 @ 10:00pm

The Matt Estabrook Quartet consists of some of the finest young musicians in the world, all of whom are dedicated to jazz and contemporary music. Hailing from San Juan, Puerto Rico is Michael Gonzalez, a guitar virtuoso who was featured at the 2017 Heineken Jazz Festival. On drums is Falmouth native Nick Groat, a cutting edge percussionist tearing up the jazz and hip hop scene in Boston. James Dale, a bass prodigy from Australia, has impressed listeners in both America and Europe on various tours. On saxophone is Portland native Matt Estabrook, who has studied performance and composition with the legendary Jerry Bergonzi and Cecil McBee, as well as performed at multiple venues in Maine, New Hampshire and the Boston area. Together, these musicians perform original compositions of all genres, and engage in free music that pushes the boundaries of what listeners would expect from four friends under 30.
