MOCH
Thursday - August, 18 @ 9:00pm
Nahuatl for "all, everything," Moch is a collaborative electroacoustic duo between mallet percussionist Patricia Brennan and drummer electronic musician Noel Brennan.
Originally from Veracruz Mexico, vibraphonist/marimbist Patricia’s solo album Maquishti was #4 in the New York Times’ top 10 jazz albums of 2021. Patricia was also voted #1 by Downbeat as the rising star of vibraphone for the magazine’s 70th Critics Poll for 2022. Patricia works both as a leader and side person for active artists in and out of NYC, including such Grammy nominated bands as Arturo O'Farrill's Afro Latin Jazz Big Band and the John Hollenbeck Large Ensemble.
Maine native and current resident of Brooklyn NY, Noel Brennan is an active percussionist/electronic musician. Also known as Arktuteye, Noel has participated and won multiple turntablism battles as well as maintaining his connection with ancient language based drum concepts and connecting it with an electronic sensibility.
Moch is a combination of these experiences and interests.
