Songwriter's Circle | Out of the Blue Livestream Series

Thursday - February, 25 @ 7:00pm

Thank you for joining our curated Songwriter's Circle on OUT OF THE BLUE featuring Fiona Robins (of Bait Bag), Becca Dean Biggs and Lauren Crosby! This circle will consist of three rounds and lots of time for chatting and discussing songwriting, performing and life. Watch live (or later) on our Facebook page.

FIONA ROBINS
This will be an acoustic solo set of both originals and covers. Before Fiona Robins began shredding on the electric guitar in her punk rock band, Bait Bag, she was fingerpicking on an acoustic. Her music combines the sincerity of American folk music with the warmth of popular jazz vocals (think Ella Fitzgerald meets Joni Mitchell). After growing up in many different places, Fiona has found a home in Maine and is living and rocking out on North Haven Island.

BECCA BEAN BIGGS
Born in Memphis, TN and growing up in Maine, Becca Biggs has a unique sound and style. Drawing from her southern roots and 90’s upbringing, she embraces a blend of vintage country, folk, indie rock, and pop. All while picking an electric, reverb drenched, banjo. Her songs are rich in honesty and can leave a heart aching.

Formerly a singer and songwriter for female folk rock band Sugarbush, she started her solo project in 2019. After releasing a debut single in 2020, her song, “Queens of the World” was named Maine’s song of the week by Portland Press Herald’s Press Play.

Since then she has assembled a band and they are currently working on their first full length album that will be released in 2021.

LAUREN CROSBY
Hailing from an island in Maine, Lauren Crosby’s music is a pure creative expression of the North Atlantic. With hints of smoke and salt, her voice is deeply captivating, yet light with wit and life. A lobsterman’s daughter let loose in the modern world, Lauren’s old soul lends itself to the surrealism of her surroundings and everyday happenings. Her style is a unique one to categorize. As a self-taught guitarist and singer, she enjoys blending classic rock, lyric-y folk, and vintage western.
