Steve Grover Tribute
Sunday - August, 06 @ 1:00pm
In July of last year Maine lost an incredible musician, composer, teacher, and friend of Blue. Steve Grover played Blue at least once a month, some month's he played once a week, and his presence will be sorely missed.
Tony Gaboury was his one of his closest friends (some might say, "a brother from another mother") and often played guitar by his side on the Blue stage. Tony will be inviting various musician to come and play & pay tribute to our dear friend Steve through the afternoon and possibly include a second daytime event on Sunday.
All of the incredible jazz musician will be playing for donations that will be given to Maine Jazz Camp. The money given to MJC will provide scholarships, in Steve's name, to specifically support economically disadvantaged campers. In addition to the musicians playing for donations to go to this special cause Blue will be donating a percentage of food/drink sales and we will also be selling Steve Grover's CDs, including his award-winning album, Blackbird Suite. If you are unable to make it but wish to participate in some way you can make a donation in Steve’s name to Maine Jazz camp, send a check to Maine Jazz Camp (put Steve’s name in the memo section) and mail to Van Brunt Station, P.O. Box 150-597, Brooklyn NY 11215.

Because we don’t charge a cover and 100% of your donations go to the musicians we respectfully ask that each person make a ONE PURCHASE MINIMUM of food/beverage to help support the room. All seats are first come, first served (feel free to share a table). We do not take reservations.
