** Alex McCue and The Group Activity Portland Debut **

The Group Activity is a fun, conscious, and collaborative musical collective creating to call to question how we change the world.  The band blends folk, blues, and reggae to bring you a well-planned and often-improvised musical experience that relies on you for co-creation. The band has played venues, bars, and breweries around Boston, and is increasingly touring New England.

Friday marks the Portland debut of the Boston-based Americana, Jazz, and Reggae-fusion trio ‘The Group Activity.’ The Group has brought their well-planned and often improvised set to bars and breweries around Boston, and are beyond belated to bring it to Blue. The Group has been featured in The Boston Globe for their set at JP Porchfest, and its music has been featured on numerous Spotify playlists and on Radio UDG/PV in Mexico. You can hear their music at The frontman of The Group is Alex McCue, an Albuquerque-born vocalist and multi-instrumentalist, and he is joined by Jonte Samuels on saxophone and Jamila Gordon on drums.
