Verses vs Verses

Monday - September, 25 @ 5:30pm

Hosted by Chris Robley

A monthly series where guest songwriters and word-writers (poems, essays, stories, manifestos, tweets) face off to find what interesting kinks and connections arise while approaching the same theme from opposite angles.

Hosted every 4th Monday by indie-pop songwriter and poet Chris Robley (who will also perform a short set each month). Robley's songs have been praised by the LA Times, KCRW, No Depression, NPR's Second Stage, and more. His poems have appeared in POETRY Magazine, the Poetry Review, Beloit Poetry Journal, Prairie Schooner, and others. Robley is the recipient of Boulevard's Poetry Prize for Emerging Writers, a Maine Literary Award in Poetry, and he was selected as a finalist by Robert Pinsky for the Dorset Prize.

Like all shows at Blue, this event is FREE but donations are greatly appreciated.
