Wilson / Kiefner / Miller

Saturday - August, 24 @ 6:00pm

Maine-based pianist Jed Wilson is a versatile performer, equally at home in the disparate worlds of jazz, free improvisation, and folk music. As an accompanist, Wilson is best known for a long-term collaboration with singer-songwriter Heather Masse, with whom he has toured widely (including making multiple appearances on NPR's A Prairie Home Companion). Additionally, he has performed with Aoife O'Donovan, Taylor O'Donnell, and Dominique Eade. His solo piano EP of original compositions and free improvisations, Nocturnes, is now available.

Scott Kiefner is a bassist currently living in Kittery, ME. After graduating from McGill University's Schulich School of Music, he moved back to New England and has since established himself as an in-demand member of the jazz community. He has performed and/or recorded with Vinx, Delfeayo Marsalis, Bill McHenry, Matt Wilson, and many more. In addition to a busy freelance schedule, he performs regularly as a member of Sojoy, OURBIGBAND, and the Soggy Po Boys throughout New England and beyond.

RJ Miller is a drummer and composer from Maine.  A long time fixture on the NYC jazz and eperimental scene, Miller has performed/recorded with artists like Bill McHenry, Eric Revis, George Garzone, Hugo Rasmussen, Meshell N'degeocello, Aaron Parks, Jorge Rossy, and Ben Street to name a few.
